PARANS SUNLIGHT APPLICATIONS
Everyone thrives in sunlight, but the most of us spend 90% of our time awake indoors. We often sit deep into the building, far away from windows, preventing us to enjoy the benefits from the healthy natural light. Wellbeing and health are affected negatively and we do not perform as well as we could.
Benefits With Natural Light
Parans’ solutions are a significant contributor to sustainable construction projects, benefiting both human well-being and the environment.
Studies demonstrate that natural light positively impacts our health. Indoor environments enriched with fiber optic sunlight enhance our well-being and productivity. Natural light improves learning capabilities and regulates hormone production, helping us stay awake during the day and sleep soundly at night.
With over half of the world’s population living in cities, urbanization poses challenges for accessing daylight. Dense urban areas, deep buildings, and increased energy efficiency demands lead to environments with insufficient natural light. Parans’ innovative system, utilizing fiber optic daylight and advanced sunlight collecting technology, addresses these challenges effectively. It captures sunlight and transports it deep into buildings, offering a cost-effective alternative to structural changes like light shafts or complex retrofits.
Parans’ solutions support daylight harvesting, reducing the reliance on artificial lighting and leading to significant energy savings. This approach helps meet daylight requirements while improving indoor spaces' quality.
Additionally, green certification systems such as LEED, BREEAM, and WELL Building Standard reward the integration of natural light. Parans’ fiber optic sunlight solutions contribute to earning points in these systems, increasing property value and supporting employer branding by creating healthier and more sustainable environments.
Building Types And Typical Spaces
The Parans system is mainly requested within the commercial and the public sectors for both retrofit as well as new building projects. Buildings for office buildings, health care buildings and buildings for education are our most common building types, but the Parans system is not limited to them. Below you see the most common building types and spaces where the Parans light is used.
Extend Your Windows
Via the Parans system with thin, flexible fiber optic cables you can get sunlight far from windows and deep into the building where the sunlight from windows cannot reach. You are also able to balance the light dynamic in the room with light from the windows. As common as it is to have windows along the facade and that way add natural light, as common it could be to have sunlight via a Parans system deeper into the building.
The sunlight could be spread in a variety of ways in different environments. We choose to show the ways we believe are the most natural ones to spread the sunlight indoors:

Point Light
spreads the sunlight over a large surface.
Ceiling Light
the sunlight is spread over the ceiling which gives an illusion that the light comes through an open shaft.
Wall Light
the light is spread over a larger wall area like a waterfall or in Parans’ case like a light fall.
Ambient/diffused Light
when this is preferred and gives the possibility of combining the natural light with artificial light.
